Alternative political futures especially for
Asia and the Pacific islands; Asian politics; governance designs for space
settlements; the politics of media. Main interests are in four overlapping areas: (1) how to
envision, invent, and create alternative political futures; (2) the possible and
preferred futures of Asia (especially Japan, the Koreas, and China), the Pacific
Islands (especially Micronesia and Hawai`i), and North America; (3) governance
designs for space settlements, especially on Mars; and (4) how models and
media--especially video, multimedia, and cyberspace--create and re-create the
world. |
