Yongduck Jung, a native of Seoul, studied at Seoul National University and University of
Southern California, obtaining BS, MPA and Ph.D. in Public Administration, did
post-doctoral studies at London School of Economics and Political Science and
Free University of Berlin, and has served on the Faculty of Seoul National
University. He has published many articles in academic journals of public
administration and policy, and has acted as editor-in-chief of The Korean
Public Administration Review and The Korean Journal of Policy Studies,
and as president of the Korean Association for Public Administration (2001). He
has served as policy advisor to a wide variety of Korean public organizations
including the Presidential Committee for Administrative Reform (1988-1989,
1993-1998, and 1998-1999). Currently he is involved in the comparative research
projects on the institutions and governance.
